screenplay format

can anyone tell me what the format to write a british screenplay is, as the amercians use different sized paper than ourselves. Or even any software as I can not seem to find any on the internet at a reasonable price!!!

writing programs are a nightmare, they are cunningly designed to kill your creativeness, write on whatever the fuck you wanna write on, write it all on scrap paper if u feel comfertable! just write and whatever is easiest,dont go out of your way to do it, let the creativeness flow

P.S we use A4 normally!
